The National Federation of Hog Farmers, Inc. headed by its national chairman, Mr. Gabriel H. Uy, will be holding its annual national convention, from June 28-30, 2007 at the UP Los Banos Campus. With the resounding success of the previous year’s “Galing ng Pinoy, Galing ng Pinoy Pork2” convention, we aptly entitled this year’s event “Continuing Education, Galing ng Pinoy Hog Farmer!”. We find it timely to bring our convention to the university campus where commercial hog farming began. Back to basics you may say but it is more than going back to basics, it is an awareness that out there in the academe, the veterinarians, nutritionists and other animal science practitioners are always at the forefront never ceasing to learn, to adapt, to innovate, even to invent and ensure our continuing education as a world class hog farmer.
The three-day event will as usual feature the exhibits from the industry’s major players, namely the veterinary drug companies, breeder companies, integrators and swine practitioners, and other partners from the private and the government sector and related NGOs. Expect the latest in technology transfer seminars capped by a BIG NIGHT Poolside Dinner Party which is anticipated to be the year’s largest gathering of Filipino commercial hog farmers & practitioners nationwide.
